Alto part recordings
I made the following just for myself to help me memorize and thought I’d go ahead and post them. (Sorry—they cater more to Alto 1s.
I made the recording below just for my own practice. I thought I’d share if you want to use it for memorization or for practicing moves.
Here are specific “tricky” sections from This Joint is Jumpin’
Let’s Dance! Deeji added 1) a sfz to the whole notes in m. 11, 19, 35, and wants m. 23-29 to be sung legato, with accents on each syllable of “happy” in m. 25. (The recording does not reflect these directions well. Just use your imagination.)
This recording was revised on 2023.2.16 to reflect the following change: measures 117-124 and pickup to 133-140 are solos.
The following is a mix of Alto 1/Sop 2. I sometimes chose to sing the soprano line (when there were alto notes below) because the interval to the next time there was an Alto1/Sop 2 (middle) note was much easier than going from the alto line to that middle note. -Leann
