2024 Apr-June Alto part recordings
A note about Hands are Knockin’ recording: In measure 9, the last three notes are sung on the syllables, “na” “na” “al”. (The recording sounds like “ah” “na” “al”.) Pronunciation—1. When singing ”Namuddu” the middle syllable is pronounced “moo”. (The recording sounds closer to “mah”) 2. When singing “alhamdulillah”, the i is a short vowel i as in “it”.
Love is a Many…. Both Altos 1 and 2 sing the bottom line with the exception of three notes. On p.6, altos will split on the last two beats of measure 34 and the whole note in measure 35. (On pp.10-11, there are three treble parts and sopranos will split.)
New and improved! The recording below of Unforgettable was re-recorded (with some corrections) on April 25.
NOTE: There are errors in the words in the recording of We Are One below. In measures 29 and 35, I sing “with in our hearts…” etc., but it should be as written: with ALL our hearts. And m. 114 has a little word bauble. It should read as written: teach them to our children.
In Wind That Shakes, below (Ireland Alto 2), the last three notes should be B - A - B.
